Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Anyone working in in-hospital, pre-hospital, and out-of-hospital healthcare institutions who engage in the assessment and management of critically ill patients should take pediatric advanced life support (PALS) training. During your PALS course, you’ll learn how to assess pediatric patients who are experiencing life-threatening medical emergencies, such as shock, cardiac and respiratory events, and how to provide high-quality care to them. You’ll also learn how to care for patients after ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation) occurs during a resuscitation effort. The course will also test your ability to think critically and solve problems, as well as help you become a better team player to give better patient care. To make sure you are choosing the right course, please get in touch with your employer.

The only prerequisite for enrollment is that you must be proficient in pediatric basic life support (BLS) skills.
